How Long Is Omicron Infectious?
As I struggled to clear my cold-like symptoms and fatigue two weeks ago, I wondered how long COVID was going to stick around in my system. We had covered the topic before, but not since Omicron emerged, never mind the Omicron subvariant BA.2.
 
According to the experts we spoke with, while there's limited conclusive data on the topic, Omicron probably lasts in your body for about 10 days—the same amount of time as Delta. This is a bit shorter than the 14 days associated with the original COVID-19 strain.
