I'm planning a hypothetical vacation the only way I know how at this point in the pandemic: putting travel-related gear on my Christmas wish list.
| | | | | | How I'm Curating My Christmas List Around a Hypothetical Trip | It's that time of year again, when people ask me what I want for Christmas and my mind draws a total blank. It's not that I can't think of things that I would like to have, it's just that I'm not particularly into fashion or tech and asking for plane tickets to New Zealand is a bit, well, unrealistic. And in a year where travel has been put on hold, asking for a trip—or even money to put towards a flat white in New Zealand—adds a whole new meaning to the word "unrealistic." But that doesn't mean I can't start planning a hypothetical vacation the only way I know how at this point in the pandemic: putting travel-related gear on my Christmas wish list. At the top of my list is Away's blush-colored Medium suitcase. Thanks to its polycarbonate hard shell, it's unlikely to see the same kinds of rips and stains as my current soft-sided suitcases. I'm also eyeing the Trtl Pillow, which should keep my neck from bending back and forth the next time I nod off during a road trip. In the midst of putting together my wish list, I've been combing our site to see the other gifts TripSavvy editors have been looking to get (and give) this year.
