15 Minutes to a Cleaner Living Room
Welcome to Day 2!

Mélanie Berliet, General Manager
The living room is one of the hardest places to keep clean because it's used for so many different purposes. But it's also one of the most important places to clean regularly since a messy living room is much harder to relax in than a neat one.

This quick cleanup is so easy, you can do it at the beginning or end of every day. It's also a great way to keep your weekend chore list shorter.

Tip
Collect Your Items
Start by placing a large empty box and a wastebasket in the center of the room.

Collect any dishes and glasses around the room and take them to the kitchen. Put them away or into the dishwasher, out of sight.

Round up all trash and garbage (newspapers, wrappers, old magazines, etc.) and throw them into the wastebasket.

Gather any items that don't belong in the living room (clothing, toys, mail, tech) and put them into the box.

Take both the wastebasket and the box to the garage, basement, closet or another out-of-the-way spot.

Wipe Down Surfaces
Grab the damp and dry washcloths. Wipe off picture frames and mirrors, first with the damp, then the dry rag.

Wipe all objects and surfaces with the damp rag, and remove moisture with the dry cloth.

Neatly stack magazines or books on the coffee table. Rearrange decorative objects to an attractive position.

Final Steps
Spritz a light air freshener into the room, or turn on an essential oil diffuser.

If you have any time left, vacuum the major traffic areas or rugs.
