Tuesday, October 11, 2022 REBEL8 News A month ago my in-laws came to town to stay with us. Well actually they rented a house a few blocks away. Thank God. But it's great having them out here in LA. Anyways, they live on Sanibel Island in Florida. I have to assume by now you're aware of Hurricane Ian's destruction of Florida. Sanibel Island took a critical hit. I just saw a video of the property and it is almost unrecognizable. I've been out there a few times so it's difficult to look at the photos and not catch feelings. This was their house. "Florida style". The backyard is good for gator watching and cold ones. These photos are very old. I judge time by how many tattoos I didn't have. This bridge is now gone. Besides hurricanes, Sanibel is a great place for thunderstorms. And eatin' gator. But if you wanna be a big boy, you eat this. The photo does not do this justice. At all. And then, with your fellow American brothers and sisters, you get your Polaroid taken and pinned to this wall for skinny people to worship you like the fat God you are. Oddly, on my most recent trip to Sanibel, earlier this year actually, I didn't take many photos. I did snap this gem however. I've always thought it was kool that if you own a boat you not only get to name it, but paint that name and where you're from on the stern. As boat names go, Leave Me Alone is right up there with No Tan Lines, Boobie Bouncer and Wet Dream. I also wore flip flops. Had to buy a pair just for this trip. I have a rule about wearing flip flops and it heavily goes against what most white dudes think. First off, you have no business wearing flip flops in a fucking city. That's hella gross. Stop it. If you are not within earshot of the beach, you should not be wearing flip flops. Straight up. Oh, and I parked here at LAX. I don't like to pretend I'll remember some shit that is not worth worrying about remembering.  Honestly, it's how I feel about basic math and spelling. Nowadays, it's nearly impossible to misspell a word without autocorrect kicking in and why the fuck does anyone need to know math when we literally carry a fucking calculator [phone] to go take a shit.
