| TRAVEL DEALS | | Here's What to Pack on Every Business Trip | Traveling, in general, can be a hassle, but traveling for work can be an even bigger one. What if your hotel room has no iron, but your outfit for your meeting is wrinkled? What if your toiletries spill out in your bag, ruining your clothes and computer? When I'm traveling for work, I always make myself a little checklist of what I need to bring so that I can worry less about how I look and worry more about what I'm going to say. | | - Travel Steamer: I always ensure I have a travel steamer on hand when I travel for work. On one of my earlier work trips, I rolled all my clothes to save space, expecting the hotel to have an iron so I could de-wrinkle my outfits when I arrived. You can imagine my fear when I got there, and there was no iron. I had to use a hair dryer, which didn't work well enough, and I had to wear wrinkly dresses for my entire trip. I've never purchased something faster.
- Garment Bags: There's nothing worse than arriving at your hotel and reaching into your bag, only to find that your shampoo bottle has exploded and all your things are messy and sticky. While a garment bag can't prevent toiletry explosions, it can at least protect your clothes from the aftermath.
- Travel Adapters: You can't work if you can't charge your laptop. If you're traveling overseas, you'll want to make sure you pick up a power adapter, as different countries have different power outlets. Do your research and make sure you grab the right one; otherwise, your work trip might end up being unplugged.
- Laptop Backpack: While you can store your laptop anywhere, you'll want it to be safe and secure while traveling—after all, you can't use it if it's broken. These backpacks are perfect for transporting your computer from one place to another, and some are stylish enough to take to any meeting.
- Headphones: They aren't just good for listening to music. The right pair of headphones can turn a noisy airport into a space of quiet and zen (okay, maybe not totally). Whether you need them for Zoom calls, noise reducers, or even if you just want to rock out on your flight, the perfect pair of headphones is essential for any business trip.
