| | | | | Why read The New York Sun? One reason is the Presidents of America the country celebrates today. No other newspaper covers the presidency quite like the Sun does. We regard it through what I like to call "constitutional spectacles."
These specs allow us to see the difference between the Legislative Branch, in which power is diffused among 538 members of Congress, and the Judicial Branch, where powers are shared among more than 800 federal judges, and, then, the Executive Branch. In the Executive Branch, 100% of the executive power is vested in a single individual. This is what makes the president so powerful, for sure, and so special. Plus, it's what makes the checks and balances so important. It's one of our favorite stories. So happy President's day. And may every day be a Sun day. Yours faithfully, | | | Seth Lipsky Editor of the Sun | | | | | | | | | | |
