Murad here, one of the founders of Wear The Peace. I hope you're having a great Friday! I wanted to type out an update about some of the things that have unfolded here, the good and the bad.
For the past couple days, we've been restricted from any kind of advertising on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram). That means we're not able to showcase any ads on our products, promotions, important updates, etc. What is the restriction for you might ask?
Well, we just found out literally an hour ago and I might vent a little here but it's for the absolute most irrational reasoning i've ever heard. Ready? Our HUMAN crewneck ads went against META policies because they are quote in quote political ads. The ad was just the crewneck, with a caption within the image stating "one family." Unbelievable.
Since we haven't been able to advertise for the past couple days and I'm not sure when can advertise again, I wanted to reach out and start letting you know that Wear The Peace's Peace Month starts on August 1st and is a month filled with new products, giveaways, free products, double donation days, and much more. We had ads ready to showcase all this but this might not be possible right now.
On a side note, we're not as frustrated about this because this is VERY normal but we never talk about it. Our ads get taken down all the time for being "political" and gets our whole account restricted so then we have to, for weeks, chase Meta customer service to explain to them that is not a political issue and to reinstate our account. They've reinstated our account every single time, gave us a quick apology for the "bug", and send us on our way.
I won't end this on a negative note like that but i appreciate you hearing me vent haha. Our whole team appreciates you and all the support you have shown us and we're so excited for Peace Month and for hoodie weather and for the holiday season and we can't wait to keep creating change with you all.
