On September 11th, we remember the lives lost and the heroic first responders who came to the aid of thousands of Americans.

With a deep respect and admiration for our first responder community, we'd like to honor a few Spartans who have dedicated their lives to our safety. ny 2023 or 2024 race, and commit to an adrenaline-fueled challenge today.
KENNY FURROW
A Firefighter for 39 years, Kenny is a Spartan veteran and referred to "as a role model in our fitness community." From teaching athletes OCR techniques at his local gym to conquering races while being treated for cancer, Kenny is an unbreakable figure and we thank him for his years of service.

DAVID WESTRICK
David is a retired Police Chief that embodies the Spartan culture. Through years of racing, he has seen a strong correlation between his law enforcement colleagues and the Spartan community. He believes the "integrity, grit, and humbleness" of Spartans is truly an honor to witness.

CHRIS GILBERT
Chris is a paramedic for over ten years and states that "Spartan goes hand in hand with the training I love to do." Chris, along with his fellow emergency service members, sees racing as a beneficial outlet and a golden opportunity to race alongside like-minded individuals.

JON LEE
Jon has 17 years on the job in law enforcement holding many positions throughout the years. His decision to be in this field is really reinforced by seeing teams like Oscar Mike, More Heart than Scars, and others in the starting corrals. "I love this community. You guys keep me going."

In remembrance of those who lost their lives 22 years ago, we invite you to hit the road today and tackle 9.11 miles of pavement, trail, or whatever path you choose.

Join the Spartan Family as we take this challenge on together.
