The Perfect Customer Support, Every Time: Harness AI to provide top-notch support. Get incredible operational & cost efficiencies. | | | Happy Thursday! Here's what I'm seeing regarding email marketing and copywriting this week. This edition is full of tips and resources. So without further ado, let's dive in: | | Email Campaign Idea - The "The Heroes" Email: -
Purpose/Context of Email: Have no fear, The Heroes are here. Who are The Heroes? Our hero products, of course. We're talking about the best sellers, or the products that you REALLY want to pedestalize for your audience. We're gonna call out the products that you're most proud of and make them look like they're the best thing your audience could ever spend money on. Example 1 is from Honest Beauty, Jessica Alba's makeup company. I don't even wear makeup, but this email makes me wanna buy some. This email showcases the best-sellers, the awards that they've won, and a quote from the lady behind it all, Jessica Alba. The best part is that the founder carries inherent social proof with her because people already trust her. Making these products look like heroes is easy when you have a co-sign from a celebrity. Example 2 is from Ruggable, a rug/home decor company. They're doing a best-sellers sale here, which means they understand something super basic, but crucial, about marketing. Discounts sell products, and calling something a best-seller sells products, too. This is what I like to call "free money". You're giving your audience an opportunity to buy a product that everyone loves, at a discount. Can you turn that down? No. Also, the design is so clean. I love it.

Copywriting is applied psychology. Specifically, applied cognitive biases. Here are 5 cognitive biases you can use to create high-converting copy: | | Partner of the Week: I was listening to Josh, the founder of Snow Teeth Whitening, talk about how he didn't have to hire as many customer support reps because he started to resolve 40% of customer tickets with self-service. I was curious to learn more and discovered he's leveraging AI to help his small but nimble team punch way above their weight when it comes to answering customer ticket tickets in a timely and efficient manner. It's pretty cool how his "AI agents" can reply exactly like the real people on his team do. His AI drafts accurate and personalized replies for each inquiry, which speeds up the response process greatly. | | Marketing Tip of the Week:
Are you or your clients selling a subscription? Instead of having a CTA button that says, "Complete Purchase" change this to "Continue with X% off". -- Credit: Jay Myers Way more compelling, right? Remember: Test everything. Small, seemingly subtle changes, can often make a world of difference. | | ChatGPT-4 Marketing Prompt:
Develop [number] co-marketing campaign ideas that leverage partnerships with complementary brands to reach a wider audience and drive conversions.C Context: Target audience — [your target audience here] Complementary brands — [your complementary brands here] Co-marketing goals — [your co-marketing goals here] Inspiration: "[co-marketing campaign inspiration one]" "[co-marketing campaign inspiration two]" "[co-marketing campaign inspiration three]" Formatting guidelines: "[your formatting guidelines here]" | | Quick Copywriting Tip:
Use quotes from happy customers throughout your copy. You can place them: - Below your headline - Near your CTAs - In between paragraphs This is a subtle yet effective way to increase your credibility and trust. | | Write Better Ecom Email Marketing Copy:
8 quick tips for writing better ecommerce email marketing copy: - Understand Your Audience: Deeply understand who your subscribers are, their needs, and their pain points. Tailor your message to resonate with their specific desires and expectations.
- Craft Compelling Subject Lines: Your subject line is the first impression. Make it intriguing enough to prompt opens. Use urgency, curiosity, or personalization to make your subject lines stand out.
- Use a Clear and Strong Call to Action (CTA): Your CTA should be obvious and easy to find. Use action-oriented language that prompts immediate response.
- Keep It Concise and Focused: Respect your reader's time by keeping your email copy brief and to the point. Focus on one main message or offer to avoid diluting the impact.
- Personalize the Content: Go beyond using the customer's name. Customize the content based on past purchases, browsing behavior, or location. Personalization increases relevance, which can boost engagement and conversions.
- Use Social Proof and Testimonials: Include customer testimonials, reviews, or user-generated content to build trust and credibility. Social proof can significantly influence buying decisions.
- Create a Sense of Urgency: Limited time offers or limited stock alerts can drive immediate action. Be genuine about scarcity to maintain trust with your subscribers.
- Test and Optimize: Regularly test different aspects of your email copy (like subject lines, CTAs, and personalization tactics). Use A/B testing to determine what resonates best with your audience and refine accordingly.
| | A Big Realization I've Had: Knowing when to voice my opinion vs. keeping it to myself is a superpower. When you voice your opinion for the sake of voicing your opinion, it carries less weight. When you voice your opinion when it makes sense, your voice packs more of a punch. You can choose to be a) loud or b) heard. The choice is entirely yours. | | I hope you enjoyed this edition.
