Purpose/Context of Email:
Do you have a subscription offer for your products? If not, try and work it in wherever you can. Even brands that aren't technically consumables will offer a discount if you subscribe and receive new products monthly.
For people who are regular users of your product, this offer is a no-brainer for them. If you can get yourself into some kind of monthly recurring revenue, even if you have to take a haircut on your margins, you will benefit in the long-term.
The subscribe and save email allows your audience to save on the product if they agree to be charged every month.
Example 1 is from, Recess, a drink company that makes you chill right out.
This is the perfect example of a brand that your audience should subscribe to, and they make it look easy. The copy is super friendly, and very benefits-driven.
They do this plain text, which I'm always a fan of. Plain text really helps make the connection between the brand and the subscriber, especially when your voice is as cool and relatable as Recess.
Example 2 is from Beam, a supplement brand that helps you sleep better. I've tried it, and it works.
They intelligently used World Sleep Day to push their "dream bag". They've clearly mastered design, because I get sleepy just reading these emails.
The offer here is killer, 25% off your first order, plus the Beam branded mug that it comes with. For their subscriptions, the actual discount you get when you sign up is 20%, but they bumped it up to 25%, making this offer basically irresistible.
