Happy Thursday! Here's what I'm seeing regarding email marketing and copywriting this week. This edition is full of tips and resources. So without further ado, let's dive in: | | Email Campaign Idea - The Giveaway Email: | | Purpose/Context of Email:
Giveaways are so much fun. They instill a similar level of excitement in your audience that discounts do. It's also a chance for you to ask for something in return if you choose to. Engagement will be EXTREMELY high if you hype this up well enough. If you're already a beloved brand with a rabid fanbase, this is easy money for you. Example 1 is from a startup called Rebelious. The entrepreneur who runs this brand is already a highly skilled influencer and is now pivoting to e-commerce. Influencers KNOW that boosting hashtags and getting organic posts on Instagram is a great growth strategy. $100 is a lot to a random Instagram follower, but nothing to most e-com brands. People will jump all over this for the chance to win free money, and Rebelious will benefit from it. No doubt. Example 2 is from Flo. A bit of a different strategy for this giveaway here, but still effective. Instead of giving away money, they're giving away free product, likely valued between $60-80. They also have a lot of scarcity here, where people may try harder to win. Or, people feel like there's no shot and they won't even try. If you're planning on doing a giveaway for your brand, be a little bit generous. Giveaway multiple sets of your product, or some money. Also, make people feel like there's a chance they might win. You'll get better engagement. Segment:
