Happy Holidays! And yes, the rumors are true: I'm moving my newsletter from Klaviyo to Omnisend. | | Happy Thursday! Here's what I'm seeing regarding email marketing and copywriting this week. This edition is full of tips and resources. So without further ado, let's dive in: | | Email Campaign Idea - The Retail Highlight Email: | | Purpose/Context of Email:DTC is great, but some people still have a thing for retail. It adds credibility to a brand when they have a presence on the shelves of a store that has been around for decades. If you can create some fun, engaging content about retail to let your customers know you've reached that status, they'll respect you more. Try to add a store locator as a CTA in the email, or create a lander on your site with the spots your customers can find you in.Example 1 is from CROSSNET. It's not their fault their emails are fire. Instead of just straight up saying "hey everybody, go get us at Walmart", they gave it some spice and made it fun to read. As an email nerd, I have to take 10 points for accidentally adding the same image slice twice, but the points are immediately regained because I love when brands make caricatures of their staff/execs. Good stuff.Example 2 is from Jinx, which is basically healthy food for dogs. This email is actually brilliant. Making people buy your stuff from Target by adding the incentive of a giveaway. I'm willing to bet that this kind of leverage will make Target want to keep them in the best spot possible, so they both benefit.A lot of retail brands don't have an owned audience, so there's no way to speak to the customers who may love their products. If you're a DTC brand with a presence in retail, you have such a massive advantage over legacy retail brands. Steal this idea from Jinx and become a legend. Segment:

| | Partner of the Week: I've spent years driving hundreds of millions in revenue through email, so I take finding the right email platform seriously. When you're relying on a channel like email to fuel growth, reliability is everything. I've tried my share of ESPs—spent years on Klaviyo because they were the only real player, and Sendlane was a startup I genuinely admired for its innovation, even if it came a little early for what I needed. But when challenges came up, I didn't jump back to Klaviyo. I wanted a platform that aligned with my priorities—and one that matched the vision I see for email marketing. The reality is, it's hard to find something that just... works and works well. For so many eCom brands, it comes down to the big three: Reliability. Support. Price. And finding that trifecta? Not easy. However, Omnisend delivers on this trifecta. So, I'm calling it right now: In 2025 and beyond we're going to see a massive migration of ecom brands to Omnisend. I'm migrating my newsletter there. Clients are looking to make the switch. And I have friends already on Omnisend who love it. Now, it's your turn to switch to Omnisend (they make it very easy to move everything over). | | Copywriting Resource of the Week:
