The 2025 Email Marketing Playbook recording is now LIVE! | | | Happy Thursday! Here's what I'm seeing regarding email marketing and copywriting this week. This edition is full of tips and resources. So without further ado, let's dive in: | | Email Campaign Idea - The Founder Picks Email: | | Purpose/Context of Email:
Hey founders, if you were smart and driven enough to build an ecom brand, you are officially a trendsetter. Whatever you say, goes. If you've told the founder story in the Welcome Series (as recommended), then your audience should know and trust the founder's word. Your recommendations for your products mean a lot to your audience, so send this campaign!
Example 1 is from Lunya. Everything they write is catchy like it's a song. If you have a brand that speaks to women, take inspiration from everything this lady does with copy. This is one of the best ways to do founder picks. They highlight the pieces, and tell you why they're great. Example 2 is from Blue Mercury, a skincare brand for boomers. This email comes off...a little boomer-y. It's a little long, and it just gives me 90s vibes. They go VERY in-depth into the products their founder likes and what each one does. Just had a thought that in 10 years, we'll go back to designing emails like this one (like emails from the 90s) because it'll be an "aesthetic". The industry does weird things sometimes. Segment:

| | Our 2025 Email Marketing Playbook: Last week, Jimmy and I did a live presentation with our friends at Omnisend, where we shared our 2025 Email Marketing Playbook. And it was AWESOME! We had 1,726 people register for it, and the feedback was amazing! I've been getting tons of DMs and emails from people asking for the recording. So, without further ado, I'm stoked to share that the recording is now LIVE. Some of the information we shared: - Deliverability as a MUST-have skill for the retention market: Specifics around list hygiene to TLD-specific playbooks
- Strategic Inventory for first email planning
- Education on RFM, RPS, and Velocity Scoring
- Thinking beyond just Open and Click metrics
- And even AI's role in email marketing…

6 Storytelling Elements to Make Your Marketing Campaigns More Engaging and Memorable: | | Copywriting Resource of the Week:
Let's Make Copywriting Simple For You + 3 Copywriting Tips: | | Marketing Tip of the Week: | People don't buy when they understand your product. They buy when they trust your brand.
How to Apply This for Your Brand: -
Build Trust Before Selling: Customers need to feel confident in your brand before they make a purchase. Focus on credibility, not just product details. - Example: Instead of just saying, "Our skincare serum reduces wrinkles," highlight social proof: "Trusted by 50,000+ women for visibly smoother skin."
-
Use Real Testimonials & Reviews: People trust other customers more than marketing claims. Showcase authentic feedback to reinforce credibility. - Example: "I've tried everything for dry skin—this is the only product that actually works. My skin feels hydrated all day."
-
Be Transparent & Consistent: Trust isn't built overnight. Stay consistent in your messaging, pricing, and customer interactions. If your brand feels reliable, customers are more likely to buy. - Example: If you market sustainability, prove it with behind-the-scenes content, ethical sourcing details, and certifications.
-
Show Up Where Your Customers Are: Engage with them on social media, respond to questions, and create content that educates instead of just sells. - Example: "Here's how to pick the right moisturizer for your skin type—whether you buy from us or not."
Remember: The more trust you build, the less selling you need to do. A brand customers believe in naturally drives more sales. | | 🚨 It's Official: eCom Email Certified is LIVE! 🚨 If you're ready to master retention marketing and start driving real revenue, this is the course you've been waiting for.
