There's a really interesting new report on Temu vs. Amazon that dives into price, trust, and competition.
There's a lot to learn from it. | | | | Happy Thursday!
Here's what I'm seeing regarding email marketing and copywriting this week.
This edition is full of tips and resources.
So without further ado, let's dive in: | Email Campaign Idea - The Which X Are You Email: | Email Examples:
- The Which X Are You Email Example 1
- The Which X Are You Email Example 2 Purpose/Context of Email:
You may think horoscopes are silly, but millions of people read them every day. People generally like being told how to feel, because we're all a little bit unsure of ourselves. With your brand, you can send emails that match people up with a product of yours by allowing them to take a personality test. Let me show you how it works.
Example 1 is from Andar. I've recently been reading their emails and I found some gold in there. Here's a great campaign that you can steal.
Andar created a personality profile for each of their best-selling wallets, and made them really funny and relatable. If you were unsure of what to buy from them, you likely saw yourself in this email and ended up making a purchase. Even though it's satirical, it had a profound effect on the audience.
Example 2 is from Brave Robot, a DTC ice cream brand — living proof that you can truly DTC anything. This email actually lives in a flow, but I somehow ended up in the flow. This email is really funny and engaging and was a really interesting way to show off the flavors.
Big ups to the copywriter for this brand, because I've only ever received 3-4 emails from Brave Robot and it's incredibly clear what their voice is. I'm a fan. Segment:

- You'll see what we mean. | Partner of the Week: Omnisend recently analyzed the product listings, pricing strategies, and consumer trust of two major ecommerce marketplaces: Temu and Amazon.
The findings reveal not only a fierce price war between the two, but also concerns over brand imitation and potential review manipulation.
The findings were fascinating and I learned a ton.

5 key reasons why you need to be segmenting your email list: | Email Marketing Resource #2 of the Week:
7 MUST KNOW Email Marketing Tips: | Copywriting Tip of the Week: A weak call-to-action asks.
A strong call-to-action excites. How to Apply This for Your Brand:
Create Urgency & Excitement: Instead of passive CTAs like "Shop Now" or "Learn More," use action-driven phrases that make customers want to click.
- Example: Instead of: "Sign up for our newsletter."
- Use: "Join 50,000+ insiders unlocking exclusive deals today!"
Highlight the Benefit: Make it clear what the customer gains by taking action. The CTA should answer, "What's in it for me?"
- Example: Instead of: "Buy Now."
- Use: "Get yours today—before it sells out again!"
Make It Feel Exclusive: Position the action as an opportunity they don't want to miss.
- Example: Instead of: "Download our free guide."
- Use: "Grab your free guide and start doubling sales today!"
Test & Optimize: Small changes in CTAs can make a big impact. Experiment with different wording to see what drives the most engagement.
Remember: A strong CTA isn't just a button—it's the final push that turns interest into action. Make it impossible to ignore.

There's a lot to learn from it.
P.P.S. Segmentation is where most retention strategies crash and burn.
I see it all the time—brands slicing and dicing their lists, obsessing over micro-audiences, and still wondering why their retention is falling flat.
The truth? Your strategy is only as good as your segmentation. It's the difference between: 🚀 A high-performing email that drives repeat revenue 😬 Or another campaign that gets ignored
But here's the problem: most marketers spend too much time trying to build the perfect segment manually.
And a lot of the time, I see their segments end up too broad or too niche (yes, that's a thing).
How do you know if you've found the sweet spot? Why not let AI do the heavy lifting...
Raleon takes the guesswork out of segmentation by using AI to analyze your data and automatically create high-impact segments that sync directly to your ESP, in seconds.
No more hours spent slicing and dicing spreadsheets. Just smart, profitable segmentation that actually moves the needle.
If you're still manually building segments, you're spending too much time on something that should be automated.
Go try Raleon and see for yourself (for free).
