Hey there, happy Friday!

Welcome to Edition 157 of Alex In My Inbox.

Alex In My Inbox is a weekly copywriting series where I share interesting, actionable, and hilarious copywriting tips from "Alex".

Alex is an anonymous copywriter who shares these tips with me so I can share them with you.

Today, Alex has an email about conviction and using the power of the universe to make yourself successful.

Let's see what he's got.

But first...

In this week's podcast episode, we took a deep dive into Email & SMS Automations and broke down the power of behavior triggers.

More specifically, we talked about:

  • How to setup, optimize, and refine your Email and SMS Automations for better conversions, higher engagement, and customer experience.

  • From simple things like abandon cart reminders, price drops, and personalized re engagement, we focused on helping marketers drive revenue on autopilot.

  • In fact, we highlight one important thing: The importance of how to review and tweak flows every 30 days including real world examples!

Now let's dive into today's edition below:

Dear Chase,

I saw a TikTok last night that I thought was kind of interesting.

It was about "belief in oneself" and how rare it actually is.

A lot of people will complain about the fact that "no one believes in them" if they're trying to do something big.

They'll talk about how it feels like everyone is against them and no one wants to support them in this venture they're taking on.

Whether they're trying to get rich, famous, or change the world in some magnificent way.

The problem is, it's not other people's fault that they don't believe in you.

It's not that they're all bad people and they're rooting for you to lose.

They don't believe in you, because YOU don't believe in you.

Let me explain.

There are people in this world who have deep conviction, and those who do not.

Some people genuinely do believe that they will accomplish what they plan to accomplish.

That's a very small percentage of people who say they "believe in themselves".

When someone is lying to themselves about something, it comes through their pores like a stench.

You can almost smell it on someone when they don't actually have confidence and conviction in themselves.

The opposite is true, too.

When someone really believes that they can do something, they radiate.

In their heart of heart of heart of hearts, you can tell that they really believe it.

You can feel their conviction as if it's its own energy source.

There's a deep, deep knowing inside of them that they are going to achieve what they want, even if it's still not a guarantee.

The message of this TikTok I saw last night is as follows:
If other people don't believe in you, this is an honest signal that you might be lacking belief in yourself.

You need to look at yourself in the mirror and figure out if you really think you can do what you wanna do.

You need to meditate on it.

And then you either need to give up completely and do something more "realistic" (just like everybody's telling you), or you need to go ballistic and refuse to let yourself fail.

Once you become the latter, that's when you win.

Yours truly,

Alex.

Sent from my soapbox

I hope you enjoyed this week's Alex In My Inbox edition.

Have a great weekend,

Chase
