Dear Chase,
Even after my email a few weeks ago about Copywriter World, I'm still seeing people residing in that hell hole.
They're still writing with an ego, and it's still impossible to read.
Makes me wanna scoop my eyes out with a spoon.
I think I've found the solution.
If your writing is going to come off as something that a normal, healthy, reasonable person would say…
You need to be writing scripts.
I think that ALL copywriters who take themselves seriously should be writing long-form copy. Long-form copy is a true test if you're a real savage.
Let's kill two birds with one stone.
Water two plants with one hose.
Tickle two tummies with one finger.
You can get yourself a one-way ticket out of Copywriter World by writing a VSL, and also learn the value of writing long-form.
Write yourself a VSL that YOU will speak on camera. And almost all of your problems will be solved.
Take a product. Like an info-product.
Something with a real serious pain point attached to it.
Write a 10-15 minute VSL for that product.
Write it exactly how you'd say it.
Record yourself doing the VSL.
Watch it back.
Depending on how you feel about it, you'll know exactly what you need to fix in your copy to make it better.
Things become real when you hear them spoken back to you.
If your copy sucks and it sounds unnatural, hearing it from your own lips will be enough to show you what you need to fix.
Also, you'll get to practice your long-form…which is a skill that will earn you some real big bucks as a copywriter.
This email is really only for people who care about being a great copywriter, and earning massively because of it.
Chase, how about this:
Let's encourage people to send us their VSLs that they record, and we'll give them a shout out in the next email if we think it's good.
As long as I see it before Tuesday, I'll throw it into the next email and we can tell everyone how great they are.
But if I see or hear any Copywriter World, we'll manually unsubscribe them from this list.
What do you think?
I think it'd be fun.
Looking forward to hearing back from you.
Yours truly,
Alex.
