Happy Thursday! Here's what I'm seeing regarding email marketing and copywriting this week. This edition is full of tips and resources. So without further ado, let's dive in: | | Campaign Idea - The 4th Of July Proper Email: - Email Examples:
- The 4th Of July Proper Email Example 1
- The 4th Of July Proper Email Example 2
- Purpose/Context of Email:
On the day of a holiday, we like to send emails that send a little message about celebrating with our people, or just a nice little greeting from the team. It adds a level of humanity to your emails. It doesn't necessarily have to have a sale in it, but it can. It's more so just celebrating the holiday. These are brand-focused emails that do well.
Example 1 is from Andar. I love this email, because there's not much to it other than just a very visual bit of copy that captures the essence of a long weekend. It's just a simple email that gives you a vibe check for what this brand really is. It's one of my favorite emails to receive. Love it.
Example 2 is from The Dude's Threads. This is a brand that has a really fun personality, and you can tell in their copy. They have a sale above the fold that makes me laugh, and then at the very end they have a message from the founder that makes you feel good about celebrating the 4th of July. Again. Simple. But that's what I love about these emails.

- We just had to tell you... | | Vendor of the Week: When I heard the luxury jewelry brand Jaxxon experienced a 46% increase in revenue, a 17% reduction in live chat tickets, and a 6% boost in on-site conversions, my thinking changed. Like most, I thought of CS as a cost center rather than a revenue driver. What if we could turn CS into a revenue channel & treat it like another marketing channel? I'm talking about a team supported by automation that can help customers quickly find answers to their questions and guide them to specific areas of the site. For Ecom Brands, this is the best replacement we have for in-store sales reps. And this extra support goes a long way. This allowed Jaxxon to: - Boost their revenue by 46% - Reduce their live chat tickets by 17% - Increase their on-site conversions by 6% - Streamline customer communication - Save team members time and energy | | New Podcast Episode: This week Cardinal Mason and I talked about: - Sendlane - Our Worst Client Experiences - The Best and Worst Parts of Being a Dad | | ChatGPT-4 Marketing Prompt: Develop [number] TikTok video ideas that showcase our client's brand personality and engage their target audience with short, creative content. Context: Target audience — [your target audience here] Client's brand personality — [your client's brand personality here] TikTok goals — [your TikTok goals here] Inspiration: "[TikTok video inspiration one]" "[TikTok video inspiration two]" "[TikTok video inspiration three]" Formatting guidelines: "[your formatting guidelines here]" | | Your UGC (most likely) sucks! Here's how brands are doing it better Consumers can see through fake-looking UGC videos. Yes, even if you have the actors following a script and "persuasion principles" All of that falls on it's face when it comes from someone who isn't a real user of your products. Instead of hiring creators to follow creative guidelines and create tailor-made content… Try turning some influencers into authentic brand advocates. That involves: 1 – Finding untapped influencers your competitors don't know about 2 – Reaching out to them with a compelling offer (without DM's) 3 – Tracking sales and building long-term relationships Here's a notion document explaining the whole process of getting authentic UGC for your ecommerce brand.
