Intro here: A snack email has four components: a headline, an image, a short description and a button people can link on to learn more or keep going. This is a great option when you have one announcement to make. | | The best part about a new launch is seeing sales coming in as soon as the emails are sent out. However, the most rewarding part is to see people talking about it. Our Halloween launch has been a big success, and I'm so happy that you guys love the prints. >> There's still time to grab them here << Next up: Christmas mailers (ETA: right after Halloween ends) | | Previously, we had our hearts set on calling our new creation the SlimBox, but it turns out there's this rad carton-folding machine already using the name (seriously, I have my heart set on this once we get big enough 🙏🏼 I know a few people who have this machine and they've been raving about how much they are saving on postage because of it). I wanted to prioritize bringing the product to life over checking the trademark names, so I was aware of the risks. And since it's not our brand name, I accepted that risk. After some late-night brainstorming with Hien, we've landed on something we love even more: the ABC Box. Why? Well, it's Affordable - Bold - Conscious. And packing with it is really as easy as A...B...C... 😉. Just a little behind-the-scenes share for my fellow shop owners, and I hope you won't mind the change! | | How to dispose of our packaging | | We've made some small but important changes to the QR code landing page on our packaging. | | - We've moved from a separate landing page to dedicated pages on our website
- From now on, when people scan a code on our product, they'll be taken to a page with info about the material, how long it takes to break down, and how they can dispose of the packaging (or recycle it).
- We've also added a "How to dispose" page at the footer area on our site with this information. Depending on which product you usually buy from us, feel free to copy the info to share on your website for your customers!
| | Dynamic QR codes saving you time and $$ | | As business owners, there are two thing we constantly have to do: Bring more sales and cut down costs. For us at Impack, as we constantly try to improve our designs, that also means making new molds every so often (I'll talk about it in one of the upcoming emails). One thing we've been doing to cut down this cost is to use a dynamic QR code on our packaging. But what the heck is a dynamic QR code? Imagine 2 scenarios: Scenario 1: - You create a QR code that takes us to a link, e.g. Follow us on IG, or scan QR code to join a giveaway.
- Then you use a basic QR code generator to create a QR code and print it on your packaging.
- Later on, you want to change the destination, because your IG handle changed, or you want to take them to a different giveaway. You'll need to print a new code. That means paying for a new mold & redo your packaging.
Scenario 2: - You create a QR code that directs customers to your desired link or giveaway.
- Instead of using a basic QR code generator, you opt for a dynamic QR code.
- You proudly print this dynamic QR code on your eco-friendly packaging.
- Down the road, if your Instagram handle changes or you have a fresh giveaway, no need to fret! With a dynamic QR code, you can simply update the destination link from your control panel. No need to pay for new molds or redo your packaging; it's that easy.
Pricing - Arent they expensive? Usually, companies like Bitly charge you a monthly/annual fee, and aside from QR codes, they let you shorten your links and give you analytics to see where your traffic are coming from, click performance etc. However, there are alternatives that only charge you a one-time fee! | | What you would be paying with Bitly 👆🏼 | | We've been using Switchy for over 4 years and have been really, really happy with them since. They have a deal on AppSumo here where you'd only pay $39 once for all the features below. It has saved us a ton of work and costly mistakes (read about how I almost made a $10k packaging mistake here) | | What you would be paying with Switchy (one-time)👆🏼 | | Hope this helps, and that's it from me this week. Enjoy the rest of your week! Duy | | No longer want to receive these emails? Unsubscribe. Impack PO BOX 99900 SW 018 303 RPO BRIGHOUSE Richmond, British Columbia V6X 0R4 | | | | |
