| | Happy Thursday! Here's what I'm seeing regarding email marketing and copywriting this week. This edition is full of tips and resources. So without further ado, let's dive in: | | Email Campaign Idea - The Relax Email: -
Purpose/Context of Email:
Hey friend, relax. Whatever it is you're worried about, you shouldn't be worrying about it. These emails are a friendly reminder that you should take a deep breath. Send this campaign to your audience so they do the same.
Example 1 is from Feals, the most chill brand in the world.
This email had a gif in it that helped you with your breathing. The way the screenshot was taken you can't tell, but I think that's genius. One of the best things you can do with email is to make it interactive. It's not just a brochure you send to your customers. It's an opportunity to make an impression. This one was great. I did some quick meditation with Feals and feel 100x better.
Example 2 is from David's Tea.
This email is a little bit easier to create. If you're looking to send a campaign like this, it should look like this one from David's Tea instead. This email explains to you how to chill, because some of us need a reminder. Intertwine your product with their routine. In this case, unwinding the end of your day with a cup of tea is one of the greatest forms of self-care. Segment:
- Your Engaged Subscriber Segment Subject Line Ideas:
- Need a breather?
- Hey, (firstname). Chill.

- Just open this email. We'll help.
- You need this. | | Email Marketing Tip of the Week: Everyone talks about email marketing, but so few people talk about how to build your email list in the first place. Here are 13 of my favorite email list growth tips: - Leverage Pop-Ups and Forms:
Implement well-timed pop-ups, flyouts, or persistent sign-up forms on your website. Offer something of value in exchange for an email sign-up, like a discount code or exclusive content.
- Content Upgrades:
Offer additional, valuable content related to what a visitor is currently viewing or reading, in exchange for their email address. For example, a detailed guide or a free template.
- Utilize Social Media Platforms:
Promote your newsletter or email list on your social media channels. Highlight the exclusive benefits subscribers receive.
- Run Giveaways or Contests:
Host a contest or giveaway that requires an email address to enter. Ensure the prize is relevant to your target audience to attract quality sign-ups. | | My Free LinkedIn Course: I'm insanely appreciative of everyone's support with my new LinkedIn course. Here are 14 tips to ensure your abandoned cart emails perform well:
- Timely Email Reminders:
Send the first abandoned cart email within a few hours of the cart abandonment. The sooner you remind them, the better the chance of recovering the sale.
- Incentivize the Purchase:
Consider offering a small discount or free shipping in your follow-up emails. This can often tip the balance in favor of completing the purchase.
- Showcase Product Benefits:
Remind them of what they're missing out on. Highlight key benefits or features of the products they left in their cart.
- Use Engaging Subject Lines:
Craft subject lines that grab attention and create curiosity or urgency, like "Your cart is waiting!" or "Did you forget something special?" | | Podcast Episode of the Week: This week Cardinal Mason and I discussed: - Zuck becomes a UGC creator
