Morzine, France Morzine was legendary. Spartans united at the picturesque village set deep in the Chalais mountain range for an epic Ultra World Championship and Trifecta Weekend. A bright and blue sky shone on the Ultra (51.6 KM) event which included Angolon Peak, a recent summit addition with an exposed ridge, two lake crossings, and a waterfall climb. Luca Pescollderungg took first for the men's event and Ulrikke Evensen took first for the women's championship.The Ultra World Championship is confirmed to return to Morzine in 2025. Midlands, UK Set at Belvoir Castle, noble Tough Mudders took on more mud than usual on Trench Warfare and Kiss of Mud, and adaptive athlete Bea Woods and her team completed the Infinity and earned Adaptive Athlete Headbands. Šamorín, Slovakia Featuring a rare night sprint, this course at an official Olympic training center featured flat terrain and a swim in the Danube on a brutal 100-degree day. Balkan Mountains, Serbia Highlander adventurers hiked through days of the most breathtaking parts of the Stara Planina National Park, carrying their own gear and sleeping in a tent to experience the mountain to the fullest. Lake District, UK Lake District's deepest lake, Scafell Pike, was Highlander's playground for the week while participants chose their own adventure: Hercules (99 km), Pegasus (56 km), or Lyra (1-day quest).
