Dear Chase,
I don't consider myself to be crazy religious, but I do watch a lot of Rich Wilkerson content.
Rich Wilkerson is a pastor at a church, and people love him. It's insane how loyal his fanbase is.
The way he does his sermons is so similar to copywriting that I had to share it with the class here.
Pastors like Rich are EXPERTS at taking some random thing that happened in their life, and finding creative ways to draw parallels to believing in God.
I think that's interesting, because that's what I try and do with copywriting. Except we're drawing parallels to our product instead.
I tried to rip one off the top of my head while I was driving one time.
I was driving to Pompano Beach in Florida and the GPS was telling me to do something weird.
It was telling me to get off at this exit way before where I needed to be, and take side streets all the way to my destination.
It told me I was 10 minutes from where I needed to be, and I figured that was way too long. I'll just take the next exit and get way closer to the beach without having to take sidestreets.
I drove right by the exit that the GPS told me to take. 2 miles later, I saw the exit I was going to take.
And it was closed.
Next thing I knew, I was stuck in traffic, and my ETA went from 10 mins away to 23 mins away.
I thought I was smarter than the GPS.
NOW CHASE, this is what MOST PEOPLE'S relationships with GOD look like!!!!
*picture me yelling passionately on a stage dressed in all white*
The GPS is like God! And sometimes God wants something for you that you doubt. You decide to do it your way instead.
And suddenly, you find yourself on a more arduous path than you would've been if you'd just listened to GOD!
You get the point.
If I were a youth pastor, that's what I would've said.
But on the real, the lesson here is this:
You should learn how to segue like a pastor.
Take a story that happened in your real life, and think of ways to smoothly transition it into a sales pitch.
I could have just as easily pulled a different lesson from that GPS story.
I could have said:
…I thought I was smarter than the GPS.
And the reality is, the GPS has driven to Pompano Beach before. I haven't.
The GPS had the playbook. I didn't.
Therefore…if you're trying to make money online, doing it yourself is gonna take longer.
I am the GPS in this situation.
I know all of the wrong turns you're gonna make in your money-making journey.
I know where your roadblocks will be.
I know where you're gonna waste time due to lack of experience.
If you're trying to make money, don't do it alone. Let me help you.
And instead of saving you 13 minutes like my GPS would have saved me, I will save you months of wasted time.
If you want the money-making GPS, click here and buy this course.
…
You see?
I could do this all day.
Learn how to segue like a pastor.
Watch these guys in action. Watch Rich Wilkerson. They'll show you how it's done.
God bless Chase.
Yours truly,
Alex.
