Josh Hawley YELLED at a Democrat witness for minimizing the death of Laken Riley and the issue of migrant crime as a whole. “I cannot believe that I am hearing these words!” Hawley snapped at Adam Isacson, Director for Defense Oversight at The Washington Office on Latin America. “You said that ‘the murder of a nursing student in Georgian has conservatives talking. about migrant crime like its an actual issue?!” Hawley continued, absolutely pissede at this point. “She died because of migrant crime!” Isacson is an opponent of the Laken Riley Act, which was passed by the House of Representatives and mandates that the Department of Homeland Security detain undocumented immigrants arrested for theft-related crimes like burglary, larceny, shoplifting, or theft. The legislation expands the scope of mandatory detention beyond just serious offenses, including those merely charged or who admit to these crimes.
