| | WHAT WE'RE WATCHING | | ๐ท๐บ Putin agreed to stop attacking Ukrainian infrastructure. Russian President Vladimir Putin agreed to halt attacks on Ukrainian energy and infrastructure during a nearly three-hour call with President Trump. The 30-day partial cease-fire agreement follows Putin's rejection last week of a US proposal to temporarily halt the fighting in Ukraine, as he demanded additional concessions, despite the Trump administration's efforts to accommodate Russia. The move suggests Trump's direct engagement with Putin may be more effective than the previous administration's approach of isolation and sanctions. | โ๏ธ Chief Justice Roberts rebuked Trump's call to impeach judges. Chief Justice John Roberts issued a rare public statement pushing back against President Trump's calls to impeach federal judges who ruled against his administration's deportations of alleged Venezuelan gang members. "Impeachment is not an appropriate response to disagreement concerning a judicial decision," Roberts stated. Many on the right are furious with Roberts, believing Trump's call to impeach Judge Boasberg is justified, as an unelected judge should not dictate national security policy or counter-terrorism operations. | ๐ Judge ruled the USAID shutdown is likely unconstitutional. A federal judge found that Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency likely violated the Constitution when they unilaterally shut down USAID. Judge Theodore Chuang ordered the reinstatement of access to email and payment systems for all current employees. The ruling is yet another example of federal judges blocking what the president and many on the right view as judicial overreach and an intentional thwarting of the executive's rightful duties. | ๐ฎ๐ฑ Israel resumed Gaza strikes after Hamas collapsed the truce. Israel vowed to intensify attacks on terrorist targets in Gaza unless Hamas returns to "genuine" hostage negotiations. The IDF confirmed the killing of several top Hamas officials, including the de facto prime minister of Gaza, in some of its most intense airstrikes to date. Hundreds are alleged to be dead. The timing of this escalation, coordinated with the Trump administration, suggests a more aggressive phase of the conflict is imminent. |

| | THE MAIN STORY | Activists ramp up violence against Tesla | | WHAT'S HAPPENING_ | Tesla dealerships and facilities across the United States are facing an alarming surge in targeted attacks as anti-Tesla protests โ called "Tesla Takedown" โ grow more violent. The attacks are to protest Elon Musk, Tesla's CEO, and his role in the Trump administration. The protests and violent acts have particularly been concentrated at Tesla showrooms and charging stations in cities in Colorado, Massachusetts, and Oregon, where protestors have set fires and damaged vehicles, causing significant financial losses. | President Donald Trump has weighed in on the matter, condemning the violence and vowing that those committing violence against the carmaker would "go through hell." | | _THE FACTS_ | Multiple Tesla dealerships recently were targeted with Molotov cocktails, such as the incident in Oregon and Colorado. In Colorado, a transgender-identifying suspect spray-painted "Nazi cars" on the vehicles and was arrested with firebombs. A website called Dogequest published the personal information of Tesla owners nationwide, using a Molotov cocktail cursor and offering to remove data only if owners prove they sold their vehicles. A man in South Carolina burned down three EV charging stations with Molotov cocktails and wrote "f**k Trump" and "long live the Ukraine." The suspect accidentally set himself on fire and sustained minor injuries while tossing one of the devices. In New Orleans, Tesla Cybertrucks were ambushed during the "Orpheus" parade, where bystanders threw objects like road barriers and beads at the vehicles, causing thousands of dollars in damage. One man even punched the glass, shattering it, while police present did nothing to intervene. A shooting took place at a Tesla dealership in Oregon, where multiple shots were fired at the building, damaging several vehicles. Elon Musk claimed that "an investigation has found 5 ActBlue-funded groups responsible for Tesla 'protests': Troublemakers, Disruption Project, Rise & Resist, Indivisible Project and Democratic Socialists of America." One of the movement's organizers, Valerie Costa, denied accusations that it was funded by ActBlue โ a fundraising site for progressive Democrats. However, one man admitted on video to being paid to protest outside a Tesla dealership. President Trump has strongly defended Tesla, not only promising to bring "hell" to the vandals and violent criminals, but also blaming "radical left lunatics" for trying to "illegally and collusively boycott" the company.
