Dear Chase,
I really do think that the "online business education" world has done just as much harm as it's done good.
It's obviously changed thousands of people's lives, made regular people an absurd amount of money, and allowed people who would have NEVER normally had an opportunity to make money doing anything to earn an income with their computer.
It's made you and I both millionaires, Chase.
However, because there's so much information available online, and so many people watching it, we all tend to think it's saturated.
We all think that there's not enough to go around.
We see an Iman Gadzhi video get 500k views in the first day, and we think to ourselves, "wow, 500,000 people who are all gonna get rich doing XYZ business model. It's too saturated for me."
I would bet thousands of dollars that, off that one video, maybe 50 people will even consider trying out whatever business model he's pitching.
5 will actually do it. 2 will stick with it beyond 6 months.
Chase, the vast majority of people do not have it in them to actually make anything happen for themselves.
The reason I know that is because I look at my DMs on a daily basis.
People always hit me up asking for advice about copywriting, or whatever other business model they wanna do.
And I give them the best advice that I can.
99 out of 100 people do nothing with it.
And I've decided that I have a scorching hot take to share in this edition.
Most people do not deserve to be rich.
They are spiritually poor. They are not worthy of having millions in the bank, or having materialistic things, or anything good that comes with having money.
Because their character just does not reflect the type of person who deserves those things.
It sounds harsh, and I know that, but I need to make this clear:
Having an abundance of money is truly one of the greatest blessings you can have here on Earth.
It allows you comfort, security for you and your family, and it lets you live a full life without worries or stress.
It's the apex resource.
And because it's this good, it has to be scarce.
There isn't enough to go around to people who do not have the work ethic to actually earn it.
But here's the good part, which I'm sure you've been waiting for.
Because so few people are willing to do the work to become wealthy, you're only in competition with a few thousand people.
Not 8 billion. Maybe 800,000.
It still sounds like a lot, but it's not.
There are NOT that many people who are really about it.
And you do not have to be that much better than the average person to do well with this.
To have a top 2% income in the US, you need to make around $260,000 a year.
Basically everyone you and I know can do that in their sleep.
And that's better than 98% of people in the richest country in the world.
"If it's so easy, Alex, why doesn't everyone do it???"
Because most people…are not…built for it.
They just don't have the moxie. They don't even try. They never put the rubber to the road.
That's fine. More for you, me, and whoever's reading this email.
I'll end with this:
When I first started making money with copywriting, I was so blown away at how amazing it was that I could just make money from my computer. And a lot of it, too.
I was making $5-8k a month almost right away, which was double (or triple) what I was making at my old job in 50% less time and effort.
I wanted to show everyone.
I personally mentored some of my friends so that they could do the same thing.
I quickly realized, as I watched them go through the same process I did a few months back, that this isn't for everyone.
Not everybody can be successful. And it's not your responsibility to help everyone become successful.
As soon as I let that go, I was much happier.
There's a certain percentage of people who are gonna kill it, and that's who this email is addressing.
On your list of 100k+, there might be 100 people reading this email that are built for it.
And to those men and women, I wish them nothing but the best. And I will see them at the top.
Yours truly,
Alex.
Was this email too mean? |
