Now let's dive into today's edition below:

Dear Chase,

When I was 4 or 5, my dad's friends would always pull this little joke on me.

I hated it.

It made me feel awful about myself.

I always asked my dad to make them stop, but he never did. And they persisted.

The worst part was that my little kid brain would forget they did it the last time, and I'd keep getting fooled over and over.

They'd say "up top", and offer a high five. I'd high-five them.

Shortly after they'd say "down low", and offer another high five.

As I was swinging my arm to give them the high five, they JUST requested…

They'd pull their hand out of the way at the last second and utter the taunt that destroyed my little kid ego:

"Too slow."

It was true. I was too slow.

By the time I tried to smack their hand down low, it was already too late. Their hand was gone.

I never forgot that.

And that taught me a valuable lesson that I've kept with me to this day.

A huge thing that entrepreneurs need to understand is that speed is genuinely your greatest ally when it comes to trying to do big things.

You hear this all the time.

"Time is money."

"Money loves speed."

It sounds cliche, but it really is something that I had to learn the hard way.

If there's anything you can do to make more money, it's that you should be trying to shorten the time between idea and execution.

I've been practicing that recently.

Can't reveal exactly what it is, but I had this idea on Tuesday of last week that I know for a fact would add an extra $150k a month in top line within 2-3 months of compounding.

I made two phone calls to the people that I needed to help me out with it, by Wednesday I had them fully on board with it, and by Thursday, I had contracts sent out. And we were in motion.

That normally would have taken me weeks, if ever, to get it done.

You miss out on a lot when you "mull things over" for too long.

Moving with intensity is truly one of the things that make an entrepreneur "great."

The people at the highest level are executing their ideas so fast that nobody else can keep up.

It has to be this way. It has to be fast. You have to move quicker.

That taunt.

"Too slow."

It echoes in my head on a daily basis.

Sorry to share my trauma with you like this in a public email, but it really is one of the greatest lessons I've ever learned.

However fast you're going, you can probably triple it. And you will watch everything else triple alongside it.

Agree or disagree?

Yours truly,

Alex.
