| Vernon, New Jersey | The infamous slopes of Vernon Peak weren't messing around for the Tri-State New Jersey Trifecta Weekend. Spartans threw themselves against the mountain's brutal steeps and rugged terrain across the full lineup, the Sprint, Super, Beast, and Ultra. Add in Saturday's rain turning obstacles slick, trails into mud pits, and biting wind chilling racers after the dunk wall, and you had a true test of will. Finish lines weren't given, they were earned – epitomized by one Spartan legend completing their mind-blowing 400th race and incredible 100th Trifecta right there on the demanding slopes. | | | Atlanta, Georgia | The legendary red clay of Bouckaert Farms lived up to its shoe-swallowing reputation at Tough Mudder Atlanta this weekend. Over 6,200 Mudders dove headfirst into the muckfest, including the triumphant return of our Kids by Spartan racers for the first time this season. While daytime waves battled the Georgia heat and navigated those deep, muddy forest trails (spotting Tony Stark's cabin if they were lucky), the real endurance war began Saturday night with the first 12-hour Toughest Mudder of the year. The absolute standout performance came from Charity Borne, who tackled her first-ever Toughest Mudder and conquered an incredible 50 miles. Team Mudskippers powered through to hit 50 miles and two inspiring adaptive athletes completed the grueling overnight challenge. | | | Lake Bled, Slovenia | Don't let the fairytale look of Lake Bled fool you. While the views were breathtaking, the course lived up to its legendary red clay brutal reputation as one of the most challenging Trifectas on the global calendar. Over 2,300 Spartans (and 230 Kid Spartans!) descended upon this alpine town. They plunged into the shockingly cold waters of the lake, fought through energy-sapping mud baths hidden deep in the forest, and endured punishing elevation gains across all distances. | | | Kojšovská Hoľa, Slovakia | Out on the exposed slopes of the Kojšovská Hoľa mountain, Trail runners weren't just battling the course; they were fighting the elements. April unleashed unseasonable brutality with extreme wind and biting 10-degree Celsius cold across the rugged Slovenské rudohorie landscape. For the runners charging through relentless forest and mountain trails in the 10K and the grueling 50K Ultra, there was no escaping the conditions. This wasn't a scenic trail run; it was a raw test of mountain endurance where only true grit could conquer the cold, the wind, and the elevation. | | | |
