I'm teeing these campaigns up for you

Hey Friend,

We're still in the midst of dry January.

By "dry", I mean there are next to no reasons to send emails. No holidays, no celebrations. We're just coasting.

Here are a handful of evergreen campaigns that you should definitely send over the next week or two.

Real quick, though, I want to tell you about a company that my clients are using to boost their email & SMS revenues. Here's how:

Your abandonment email sending pool (aka your browse, cart, and checkout abandonment flows) is up to 90% smaller than it should be.

Your visitors/subscribers are ONLY getting abandonment emails if they are logged in to Shopify.

If they bought on a laptop, but abandoned on a mobile device, they aren't getting messages.

You probably didn't even know you were missing out on this revenue.

They have a solution called Reclaim that solves this massive issue.

Your abandonment emails are your highest converting, most valuable emails, & this is the easiest (and ONLY) way to send out 5x more of them.

This is a very easy, "set-it-and-forget-it" way to juice up holiday and Q1 returns.

You can also use this tech to send SMS.

However, it's only worth it if you're big enough to be making several thousand dollars per month on your abandonment emails in the first place.

And it's been working so well for my clients that I joined as an advisor.

Increase your email & SMS revenue.

Now let's jump into today's content:

Campaign Idea 1 - The Relax Email:

  • Email Examples:

    The Relax Email Example 1

    The Relax Email Example 2

  • Purpose/Context of Email:

Hey friend, relax. Whatever it is you're worried about, you shouldn't be worrying about it. These emails are a friendly reminder that you should take a deep breath. Send this campaign to your audience so they do the same.

Example 1 is from Feals, the most chill brand in the world.

This email had a gif in it that helped you with your breathing. The way the screenshot was taken you can't tell, but I think that's genius. One of the best things you can do with email is to make it interactive. It's not just a brochure you send to your customers. It's an opportunity to make an impression. This one was great. I did some quick meditation with Feals and feel 100x better.

Example 2 is from David's Tea.

This email is a little bit easier to create. If you're looking to send a campaign like this, it should look like this one from David's Tea instead. This email explains to you how to chill, because some of us need a reminder. Intertwine your product with their routine. In this case, unwinding the end of your day with a cup of tea is one of the greatest forms of self-care.

  • Segment(s):

    - Your Engaged Subscriber Segment

  • Subject Line Ideas:

    - Need a breather?

    - Hey, (firstname). Chill.

    - Sit back and relax, for once.

  • Preview Text Ideas:

    - We all do.

    - Just open this email. We'll help.

    - You need this.

Campaign Idea 2 - The Educational Email:

  • Email Examples:

    - The Educational Email Example 1

    The Educational Email Example 2

  • Purpose/Context of Email:

People buy when they trust. People trust when they understand. To help them understand, educate! These types of campaigns are how you can communicate the value of your product by teaching instead of selling. This is a great way to keep your audience engaged and interested, and ready to buy from you too.

Example 1 is from Flo, a brand that does educational emails really well. In this one, they explain to you why your problem does not warrant a one-size-fits-all solution. The most educated buyer makes the best buying decision. If you can take the elements of education and the elements of sales, and mix them together in your copy, you'll have a winning campaign for sure.

Example 2 is from Care/of, a brand that we shout out all of the time. This email is very similar to the one above, in the way that they explain why the Care/of solution fits you better than an off-the-shelf solution. In this case, Care/of is going up against literal billion-dollar pharmaceutical companies. They need to TEACH. This is one of the best ways to do it. Their copy and design is amazing. They make it look easy.

  • Segment(s):

    - Your engaged segment

  • Subject Line Idea:

    - Did you know about X?

    - How X is different from Y

    - Here's what you need to know about X.

  • Preview Text Idea:

    - This is mindblowing.

    - Did you know this?

    - This is important...

Campaign Idea 3 - The Self Gifting Email:

  • Email Examples:

    - The Self Gifting Email Example 1

The Self Gifting Email Example 2

  • Purpose/Context of Email:

Self-gifting is one of the best campaign types you can do as of late. People absolutely love spoiling themselves with impulse buys. I'm one of those people. If you can capture someone with an email like this at the right time, you're gonna be very successful with it. Check this out.

Example 1 is from Mejuri. This email is for Valentine's Day and briefly discusses gifting yourself something shiny, but it doesn't have to be for a holiday. We'll obviously cover Valentine's Day emails next week. In the meantime, you can convince someone to buy themselves something just by putting an offer in front of them and suggesting that they deserve it. Trust me.

Example 2 is from MatchaBar, a brand you can always rely on for top-tier emails. With this one, they did exactly what I just mentioned in the last example. "You worked hard this week, you need this" is one of the best lines you can deliver to an audience. They LOVE being told that they should reward themselves. They love being rewarded (obviously), but they always feel guilty for doing it themselves. If YOU give them permission, they'll do it.

  • Segment(s):

    - Your engaged segment

  • Subject Line Idea:

    - Hey, rough day?

    - Gifts from you, for you

    - We love self-gifts.

  • Preview Text Idea:

    - Check this out...

    - It's here for you.

    - Spoil yourself today.

That's all!

I personally think that these emails will crush for you this week if you send 'em. Please let me know if you try these, because I wanna know how they do. These are a little unorthodox, but I believe in them.

And quick reminder, if making more money from your email & SMS channels is a priority for you this year, take a look at how the Retention.com platform can help with that.

Best,
Chase
