Hey there, Does fasted training burn more fat than fed training? Yes. Does that mean fasted training helps you get leaner faster? No. Because your body "compensates" for this effect by simply burning less fat throughout the rest of the day. Put differently, just because you're burning a lot of fat in your workouts (as fuel), that doesn't mean you're consistently losing body fat (getting leaner). And how to actually get leaner? Ketosis. Just kidding. Detoxing. Just kidding. It's a calorie deficit. That's it—that's the ultimate "fat loss supplement." There are a few others worth considering too, however, like yohimbine, which is a naturally occurring substance extracted from the bark of the yohimbe tree. Research shows that yohimbine taken before fasted exercise can aid fat loss by enhancing the breakdown of fat cells (lipolysis), including those fat cells that are particularly resistant to being mobilized. That is, yohimbine can help you burn more fat in your workouts, including more "stubborn fat." And that's why it's one of the prime ingredients in our pre-workout fat burner, Forge, which we just upgraded: | | "So this will melt fat from my belly, hips, and thighs?" you may be hoping. Big no. "Supercharge my metabolism and energy levels?" Absolutely not. But, if you're already following an effective diet and exercise routine that includes (or can include) fasted training, Forge will help you get leaner faster. Get a bottle or three here: Go for it! Mike Founder of Legion P.S. Forge also contains synephrine, which not only increases fat burning in similar ways as yohimbine but also has been shown to work synergistically with caffeine. So, Forge plus Pulse when cutting. Name a more iconic duo. I'll wait. P.P.S. SUMMER IS COMING. And it'll probably take at least a couple of months of dieting to lose the winter "fluff." And so you should probably get on that rather quick-like. Just sayin'. | | | | |
