Dear Chase,
A student of mine sent me a link to this random biz opp offer and said, "Do you know this kid?"
I clicked on it, and it was this young European guy who had this interesting-looking website with a highly-edited VSL on it.
She texted me again and said, "A client of mine said he's absolutely killing it. You should check this out."
I watched a couple mins of the VSL, and then I scrolled down to see if I could book a call to funnel-hack him.
There was no "book a call" button.
I scrolled down a little further, and saw a checkout link for $3,000.
I blinked a couple times to see if I was seeing that right.
There's a kid selling a $3k pay in full program with no sales call, and allegedly is doing a few hundred thousand a month.
This is what inspired this email.
This is not the first time I've seen this recently.
Sales pages with no "book a call" option, or webinars straight to a checkout page.
Copywriters are making $3k off of words alone, and generating millions per year for info businesses.
What does this mean for a copywriter?
It means that you can pitch businesses like the one that I mentioned, do a VSL and sales page build-out, charge $20k upfront, and take a royalty on it until they turn the funnel off.
There exists a world where you don't need to pay a closer anymore if your offer is the right price point, and you can drive traffic to a sales page written by an elite copywriter and start printing.
The main tip I wanna give people is this…
Instead of studying 8 figure VSLs like most copywriters do, study viral organic content, and study sales calls.
This is what's being replaced.
The winning VSL of 2025 is not going to be the winning VSL of 2021.
It's a whole new beast.
This biz opp guy that I mentioned has a decent organic presence.
When you find people like this...
I would recommend going through and watching their most popular IG Reels and YouTube videos to see what made people get so bought into what they had to say.
Then, if they exist, I would study sales calls that took place for that offer before.
The second half of the VSL is going to mimic the sales call and handle all of the objections that the toughest prospects threw at the closer.
Make sure each of those objections are addressed properly in this VSL.
Between the storytelling of the organic content, and the directness of the sales call recordings, you might be able to create a VSL for somebody that eliminates the need for a sales call.
If this trend continues, it's gonna be a phenomenal year for copywriters in 2025, Chase.
What do you think?
Yours truly,
Alex.
