Tariff Tuesday Update + We’re Live at 1PM ET

Hi there,

Hope you had a great Mother's Day!

Where to start for Ep. 2 of Tariff Tuesday… Today I woke up to dozens of notifications from partners in Asia celebrating the news of the tariff relief. In some ways, there should be a (tiny) celebration, but 30% is still a major impact on US baby businesses. It's not 145%, but it still presents challenges we will all continue to navigate. But here's what it means for you.

A quick reminder — I'm going live today at 1 PM ET on Zoom for our first-ever Tariff Tuesday AMA.

Our Weekly Update:

1. We can resume exporting products and there is a lot less risk that products will go out of stock. So for now the crisis of empty shelves and no gifts for Christmas has been averted.

2. We paused all imports while the tariffs went out, this means some products have low stock currently. If you want to get anything before it sells out check out the list here. If things are sold out on our site you will also notice a button to be able to buy from Target or Amazon who may have stock.

3. Some business have already raised prices, they're likely here to stay. Businesses like Lalo that have not raised prices can recalculate and are likely going to be able to look at lower increases. It's our hope that price changes will be minimal. (note: no price increases coming in May)

4. We can focus on innovation again. We have lots of new exciting products in the works, including a very cool new product launching in late June. You'll have to hang tight to see what is 😉

5. We're still lobbying lawmakers to let them know baby products should be 100% exempt from tariffs.
